Why are some of our job roles missing from the care workforce pathway?
The first phases of the pathway focused on direct care and support job roles, with each level relating to a role category.
Role categories currently included in the pathway are:
• new to care
• care or support worker
• enhanced care worker
• supervisor or leader
• practice leader
• deputy manager
• registered manager
It’s intended for the pathway to be relevant to the whole sector. Future developments and considerations of wider roles will include middle management and ancillary professions.
Keep checking the care workforce pathway for adult social care guidance to see more job roles as they’re added.
