Why doesn't the starters and leavers data update automatically?

Why doesn't the starters and leavers data update automatically?

There are a few reasons for this. Sometimes:

  • staff can join and leave a workplace without becoming a staff record in ASC-WDS (for example, if someone stays in their role for less than a week, we would have no record of them, but they do count as both a starter and a leaver)
  • when a staff member leaves, we'll only know the date the staff record was deleted, rather than the date they actually left
